All on 4 Implant Supported Denture
The All on 4 Implant Supported Denture consists of a denture that attaches to four dental implants, sometimes more implants are recommend for stability, depending on a patient’s bone strength and thickness. This option can be customized to fit each patient’s needs.
The implant supported denture option is heavily advertised as an “All on 4”, yet there can be more than four implants. In addition to All on 4, another common name for implant supported dentures is hybrid dentures. An implant supported denture is a very good option. In just one visit, the teeth can be removed, implants placed, and your new non-removable teeth attached. Implant supported dentures are fixed, meaning they stay in at all times.
All on 4 fixed dentures are faster, easier, and less complicated during surgery and have shorter healing times than other alternatives, such as individual implants and crowns, which can get very pricey if you need a full mouth. In addition, We have made it possible in many cases to remove the failing teeth, place the implants and then build a fixed bridge onto these implants in a single session, all done with sedation as required so the patients are completely unaware of any treatment. Patients frequently report being surprised at the lack of any discomfort or even swelling.
Single Implant and Implant Bridge
Made from the strongest titanium, dental implants are surgically placed in the jawbone where a tooth or teeth are missing. Over the next several months, the implants will gradually fuse with the bone, creating a very strong and stable foundation for your new teeth. In addition, implants can help preserve facial structure, preventing the bone deterioration that occurs when teeth are missing. Small posts (abutments) are then attached to the implants, and artificial teeth (crowns) are placed over the posts.
Implants can be used to replace a single tooth or replace multiple teeth as an implant bridge. The new teeth are completely natural-looking and will allow you to eat virtually any type of food. In addition to being a more aesthetic choice than a traditional denture or bridge, dental implants also feel and function more like natural teeth.
Also, with dental implants, there is no need to sacrifice healthy adjacent teeth to provide support for a bridge.
